Sanitation & Recycling

The City of Donnellson contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection and all residential customers within the city limits are required to have recycling collection.

Trash cans and recycling tubs must be placed curbside by 7am on Tuesdays to guarantee pickup.  All trash must be bagged and contained in nothing larger than two 33 gallon trash cans.  For occasional trash overage, residents may purchase additional bag tags at city hall for $1.00 each.

Place items for recycling in the tubs provided, items can be co-mingled together.  Do not put recycling items in plastic bags.

Electronic waste i snot included in our residential trash service.  Electronics and TV's can be taken to Great River Regional Waste .
